Rules

[GT] was formed due to a desire by our members to play online games a certain way and with a certain type of person. We are primarily composed of adult players that prefer to play the game cooperatively by using teamwork, communication, and strategy to win games.

If you want a hardcore team that plays for 6 hours every night of the week, forsaking friends, family and gainful employment for the game, we ain't it. We're playing for fun & recreation only. Sure it's nice to see your rank go up, and to win games, but this isn't a way of life for us. We try to play 2-3 times a week. Some of us are going to be able to make every game, some of us may only be able to jump in occasionally, that's fine.

I. Age and Maturity
This is a community for mature individuals, period. No sense arguing the point. We formed this team because we were sick of playing with immature people in the public rooms all the time. [GT]'s minimum age requirement is 21 with FEW exceptions. As for the exceptions, if you are not 21 and prove to us that you are mature enough to play in a 21+ group, we'll consider you. You start off on the wrong foot here if you lie to us in the begining so don't try it. Also, if you are under 21 and a member of your household is already on the team, we will consider you. We do reserve the right to boot you from the team for childish behavior, or send your family member down the hall to slap the crap out of you.

II. NO CHEATING OR GLITCHING
IIa. THIRD PARTY DEVICES
Any use of a third party device such as Game Shark, Code breaker, Action Replay, or similar device Is against our policy. These devices give the user unfair advantages that honest players don't have access to.

IIb. EXPLOITING GAME GLITCHES
N0 Glitching, no using "Soft Spots" in the walls and landscape of the game environment.

IIc. FIDDLING WITH YOUR CABLE OR MODEM
No Fiddling with your cable, cable modem, or stand by switch

III. TEAMWORK & COMMUNICATION
Getting kills and ranking up are nice, but personal glory doesn't help the team as a whole. Good players are nice additions to the team, but good players, which are willing to work with less skilled players, are even better. Unless we're playing an official ladder match or another team, the game is considered team practice time. If you are sided with less experienced players work with them, give them direction, communicate with them, and point out things to watch for. "I'm rushing the bomb you guys try not to get killed" isn't teamwork … Nobody gets left behind.

IV. BE COOL UNTO ONE ANOTHER
Probably the grayest area in the rulebook. We are all adults and we should be able to carry ourselves as such. Everybody on this team likes playing together for a reason and it's primarily due to the humor and camaraderie that we work into the game. The way you talk to your team mates shouldn't be any different than the way you might talk to your buddies if you were all hanging out at a bar or shooting pool. Casual "Ball-Busting" is perfectly acceptable, malicious harassment isn't. This also extends to in game courtesy to your fellow team mates. If you've scored a successful demolition or breach, give one of your teammates a turn. "Ball hogs" are no fun to play with.

The bottom line is that this is just a game. We do it to have fun and our individual actions and attitudes both on and off the field can have either a positive or negative affect on everybody. Keep it friendly, keep it fun, and give it your best.
